Parent Volunteers – We Need You!
Parent volunteers are essential to the program’s success. They serve as advisory board members, drivers and student team coaches. They handle the program’s recruitment, publicity, fundraising, and liaison with community organizations.
At both the High School and the Middle School, we need parents to get involved as a Parent Leader of a small group of students. We need additional
Middle School parent volunteers
for Sign-Up Night, the MSPCA Linen Drive; MSPCA Bake Sale: Blanket Drive for the Homeless and the Coat Drive. Contact Liz Torrisi for information: 363-2112; e-mail:
jtorrisi@verizon.net
At the
High School,
we need parents to staff the information table in the cafeteria - one day each week. It's a great way to see what's happening inside the school! Contact Jane Collins, 363-5507; email:
collins@prsd.org
The demands on the parent volunteer depend on the assignment. Some are needed only to drive students to and from the service site, while other parents may get involved in project planning and preparation. Some assignments, such as the Operation Pentucket Cares Troop Drive, offer opportunities for parents and teens to work together.
We also need parents to get involved in our leadership Advisory Boards at both the High School and Middle School. These parents help with volunteer recruitment, publicity, fundraising and liaison with community agencies.
