Troop Drive
In addition to our ongoing service initiatives, the Middle School Community Service Program sponsors an extraordinarily important and successful project:
Operation Pentucket Cares Troop Drive
. In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 students and parents at the Middle School and High School organized and shipped a community collection of care packages to US troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. They also sent banners signed by students and faculty, and hundreds of cards and letters. Our shipments to date total over 8,200 pounds of personal items. In response, soldiers continue to send us photos, cards and email expressing their appreciation.
